With more than 40 years of experience in weather forecasting and weather reconstruction,
there are very few weather situations that Bob has not encountered. His experience in lake
effect snowfall makes him an invaluable part of the forensic department.
Professional Experience AccuWeather, Inc. - Part-Time Meteorologist, 1965-1973; Full-Time Meteorologist, since 1973; Senior Meteorologist, since 1980; Senior Forensic Meteorologist, since 1996. The Pennsylvania State University - Research Meteorologist, 1963-1972; Meteorologist in charge of the Weather Station, 1972-1973. U.S. Army Evan's Lab - Research Meteorologist, 1962. U.S. Army Meteorology School - Meteorology Instructor. 1960-1961. U.S. Army Meteorology School - Meteorology graduate 1960. Honors and Accomplishments Recipient of the AccuWeather Special Career Achievement Forecasting Award, 1993. Guest speaker for various rotary and civic organizations as well as in educational settings. Participated in research for the Pennsylvania State University on weather modification, fog dispersal, mountain waves over the Allegheny Mountains of Central Pennsylvania, rainfall distribution over the mountains and valleys of Central Pennsylvania, lake effect snow storms, mesoscale weather, radar tracking of whistling swan's migrations and thunderstorm squall lines over Central Pennsylvania.
